Even new items are worth shopping for on eBay, Pete. I need the Turbotax business software to do an estate return this year. The retail from the namufacturer is $99 less $10 rebate. There are MANY of these listed on eBAy starting at $9.99. Some dealers have a BUY IT NOW at about $60 less the $10 rebate, which I took advantage of. They even ship at no charge, while Intuit charges you about $5 to ship. These say they are new sealed boxes, so I'm assuming they are grey market, not counterfeits as the sellers are big-volume dealers.

Worth looking at any software you are considering to see if you can find someone on eBay to sell it a lot cheaper. I know Microsoft monitors eBay constantly and weeds out the counterfeit MS software sellers. They can't do much about sellers of their product who want to give up part of their profit to sell in volume, though.
