Re: Roulette and Craps in WI
In Response To: Pete ()

Not yet. The casinos are just signing new compacts. This has been the top story on the front page locally for the last four days. I guess there's a shortage of "real" news.

One casino, up North did run roulette and craps, until they were stopped. (or was that in Michigan?) For anyone who doesn't read maps for entertainment, as I do the UP is more part of WI than part of Michigan. Just across the northern border of WI is Lac Vieux Desert Casino, Watersmeet, MI. Also along the West shore of Lake Michigan is Harris and Chip-In's casino.

Meanwhile, one casino did try to run roulette, but was shut down, so unless they already have the equipment on site, and are waiting, I don't think we'll see roulette or craps until late Spring or Summer.

Some minor changes in chips but not much that I know of. Biggest new issue, which isn't that new, is the change in color at Carter from pink 50c to Yellow 50c Chipco. Also Lake of the Torches has oversized H&C chips on the tables, replacing Chipcos. I don't know why they went from classy Chipcos to oversized HS Paulsons.

I get new chips from Potawatomi MIlwaukee on a regular basis. Some very minor variations, which are true nit picking, otherwise, the Match Play that never hit the tables (found on a coupon and friends who play their said they never saw one) also a free slot token, which also may never have been made or put in play, or was a machine added match, based on playing money in the slot. Players club, in center lobby of the main entrance.

I don't know of any casino in WI that still has Silver Strikes, but people report that they have been able to buy them at the cage, for face.

If you are going to Ho-Chunk, check at the desk as you come in, they usually have free copies of Casino Player Mag. Otherwise, it's a nice casino, clean, well kept and friendly. Oh yes, last I was there, the Players Club booth was way back in the furthest corner from the main entrance.
