and what does all this have to do with KISS?

Al-
remember back when KISS played germany and they had to modify the "SS" in their logo to a rounded "S" in order to play, even though Paul and Gene are both Jews? The German law "article 86" prohibits the display and sale of items that display certain insignia or glorify the III Reich in any way. Historical items are excluded. France, Italy and Austria have enacted similar legislation.
As far as free America and fee-bay goes, their policy on so-called "offensive items" is an example of good intentions gone awry. Under pressure from the SPLC and other groups, ebay decided to ban certain racist items so that skinheads couldn't play dress-up as easily. The ripple effect was that many legitimate collectors were banned for selling historical items...even books! But that was a while back. Now, it depends on how you list your item and whether or not they feel like enforcing that policy on a given day. Of course, they still don't know what they are doing- a Hitler poster will be banned almost immediately, but do a search for "Skrewdriver" or "OI" and yo'll see that they missed the point once again. Naturally, selling posters of Stalin, who killed more people than Hitler, is perfectly acceptable.
