I hope you haven’t been walking on the streets by the Opera House casino.

I made my first trip to the Opera House last September. You know that you're going into the wrong neighborhood when the cab driver asks you why you want to go there.

Half way to the Opera House, the cab drive asks "how are you getting back from the Opera House?)" Our cab driver (who once lived in East St. Louis) tells us that there is no way a cab driver will pickup customers at the Opera House!

I paid the 30 cents a minute for cab driver to waited for me so I could pick up chips.

Total cab ride from the Union Plaza to Opera House and back....$25 (this is around a 4 - 6 mile round trip)
