Reporting Procedure from eBay
In Response To: E-BAY credit info request ()

If you suspect that e-mail you got is NOT from eBay...

If you received e-mail that allegedly came from eBay but you are not sure about it, this is what you should do:

1. Do not open any attachment and do not click on any link.

eBay will never send you an e-mail with attachment.

While eBay e-mails often contain links they are provided for convenience only. You can always get to the same place by starting at eBay.com (or your international site) and reach it from there. Once again: do not click on that link.

2. Report it to eBay

Use on-line form at
http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-RS.html , select Account Concerns -> Spam and Misceleneous Offences -> I don't think an e-mail I received is actually from eBay and click on "Continue". You may want to read the top topic there and then click on "Contact Support".

You will need to be able to paste suspicious e-mail with full headers into the "Message" section of the form. If you are not sure what "full headers" are or how to turn them on, use this link for more information: http://spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/19.html
