Re: CA 2000 Software for chippers

I emailed the the programer that did my CA 2000 database. He has been doing databases for coins, for years. I've been using his chip database since 1995. Below is his reply. I have no idea what he is saying but he is very knowledigble.
That said. I emailed him when I read this post. My chip database is closing in on 3/4 gig. Including about 15,000 scans.

I am not aware of any 1 Gig limitation on Windows, and if there were it would certainly be possible to get around it by storing some of the pictures on one or more CD's. There usually are limits on the size of a single hard drive and that probably is what is being encountered. This is usually increased by Microsoft periodically as drives become larger and can be defeated with a multiple drive strategy.
