I agree Archie. While it takes longer to put a chip into one of them than it does to just slip it into a flip, it is worth the time to protect your chips in the long run, and you're also right about the costs, "crown" sized holders can be bought for about a nickel a piece, in lots of 100. As to fastening this type of holder, I have never used staples. I've always used tape. Transporting chips from shows or the convention, I take any chips in the soft plastic flips out of them and stack them in a hard plastic tube.
