Re: Varieties - Caesar's 1st Issue HCE 50c

What do you know about the Caesars 50c variety recently added to TCR, Jim? It apparently is a 3-layer chip with a colored plastic layer in center, visible on the edges. Prototype? Sample? Something else? Know who made it?

I'm also curious as to what you mean by matching the "value chips of the same time period". Was there a defacto color standard for 50c inlaid chips in those days?
