Re: Serious question - NCR - any Mormons in our gr

Hi Jill,

One of the instructors that works for my company. is Morman. We go out to eat, no issues there, he comes to our company parties, no issue there, his second wife is Mormon, she's nice but pretty straight, his two kids both go to public schools and are really nice.

I kid him all the time about LDS, Latter Day Saints, their real name!. Suggest you read up on their concept of Latter Day Saints, as opposed to the old and new testament saints, and joseph smith (FOUNDER), etc. Avoid any real bad jokes until you know them well.

I know my instructor for about five years and its close to no holds barred on our joshing around. He does not take offense but there ARE different levels of observant LDSR's. When they leave Utah they sometimes are known as "JACKMORMONS" meaning they do things they don't do in Utah!--Good Luck!

PS--I am jewish and I can get away with alot because everyone is always trying to convert me, JUST KIDDING!!

Sheldon
