Want a horror story? My father, who is remarried with 2 young teenagers who use the computer for everything, and seem to think nothing of opening any and EVERY file attachment they get in, called me complaining that he must need a new computer, as this one was really slow and wouldn't run some of the programs anymore. Since he only bought the computer 9 months ago, I told him that was not likely, but I would come over and take a look. RESULT..........6 DIFFERENT VIRUS' several of which were Variations of the KLEZ worm, and 165 infected files. End result....WIPE IT OUT and start over from scratch. I too, cannot stress enough the importance of using an Anti-CVirus scanner!
