Don't erase any files
In Response To: Re: Allan Myers, Virus Hoax ()

If you suspect that you have a problem with a file, instead of erasing it, go the DOS prompt and rename instead. This will make the file inaccessible, but you get the opportunity to get it back if you should later need it. Example ... if you have a file on your system named BADFILE.EXE that you think is infected, rename it to BADFILE.EXE.XXX (RENAME BADFILE.EXE BADFILE.EXE.XXX).
