I may well be the only person on the planet to ever check out of a comp'd Resort Room at the Aladdin into a room where I needed to leave a $40 cash deposit on the room key at Vacation Village!

I didn't want any hassles getting to the airport at the end of that weekend. My Vegas visit the previous month, I was staying at the Paris, and their valet parking lost my rental car when I went to take it back to the airport and fly home. They lost it long enough that I missed my flight. I figured I could self-park close in at Vacation Village for my final night in town, have a quick shot to the airport and life would be good!

....there are dives that have some level of desirable character, there are dives that are just dives, and there are dives that are just plain dangerous. I try to avoid the latter two.
