I happened to sleep in that morning. I got up and was having a cup of coffee checking my e-mail messages. The TV was on but I wasn't really paying much attention.

There was supposed to be an interview at City Hall a few blocks away that morning I don't remember with whom but reporters were there to cover it. I then heard that a plane had struck the WTC. The first report said a private plane then I heard a commercial jet liner. I remember telling my wife I think it might be a terrorist act. For some reason I alredy knew.

Soon after they were able to get some video and then I heard about the second plane.
I and my neighbor went up to the roof of the high rise we live in and got there just as the second tower collapsed.
It was quite overcast that day as I recall and the smoke and dust from the first tower collapsing pretty much obliterated the view but I and my neighbor both knew what had happened.
It was almost like a movie. I knew it was real but couldn't accept it. It still doesn't seem real

A moment that will be burnt into my memory for the rest of my life.
