I am by no means an access expert but……

If you put all of your chips in a single database you can run reports or “queries” based on information you might want. For instance you can build a list of all chips you bought from XYZ. You could “ask” the database what traders you have available from California or that are from an Indian casino. As you sell a chip, you can mark it as such and it no longer shows up in the “default” view. It is however still in the database. Two years later you can look it up and see what if it was a good idea to sell.
