Automatic Chip Sorters

The only additional advice I'd give is that if you don;t want to pocket 20 chips at a time (I don't - 2 or 3 allowing me to keep the best and trade a couple is fine) then try and look for the tables with the automatic chip sorting machines as that tends to mean that some chips stay in the machine (unless it's real quiet) and so there is very little chance of a dealer knowing that a couple of chips have gone missing. Also, you don;t have bulging pockets full of chips (or have to spend out on buying so many chips, whatever the denomination on the tables).

Also, if the stack is a couple of chips short you can always say that you tipped the cocktail waitress with them. I actually do that anyway, and try and let the dealer see it too, then he isn't going to worry if his stack is a little short.

And finally, some dealers are simply friendly! On my last trip, my step-father (who plays roulette) picked me up one or two chips each time he played in the Monte Carlo and Paris, and twice when spotted (in the Monte Carlo) he said that I collected chips - the dealers smiled, said that they didn't want to know, and kept on playing!!!

At the end of the day, either you get away with some (I've NEVER been stopped, although I've only tried 20 or so times anyway) but if you do get stopped then you just cash them in and you still have your cash. I figure if you're gonna play roulette anyway, then you can't lose.

Good luck (and LMK if you get any traders!). Jason
