Funny you should mention that Bowling for Dollars experience. Although I have enjoyed Chick's basketball broadcasts very much, it was those Bowling for Dollars telecasts which gained my respect of him as a person.

Most of the bowlers on the program were average or less than average bowlers. But Chick went out of his way to make the guests comfortable no matter how badly they bowled. His kindness is what I enjoyed most about him. I will miss him.
