OK, exit bad Steve Martin impersonation, enter serious commentary.

I happen to know where Summerlin is. I could drive right to it, probably find the casino without a map. When you say Northwest Las Vegas, I picture a much bigger area. I'd have to start looking at about the Rancho exit off 95.

There's nothing wrong with naming your neighborhoods. The city of Portland has a multitude of well known neighborhoods within the Portland city limits - Piedmont, Alameda, East Moreland, Sellwood, Montavilla, Kenton to name a few. These neighborhoods are clearly marked on city maps, and residents take great pride in their distinct personalities.

I live in the Virginia Foothills. I think that gives anyone familiar with Reno a better idea of where I live than "South of Reno."
