The "drumsticks" (as I've been told) were on the tables in the show rooms....instead of applause, the audience tapped their glasses with them. Along with that explanation, I was given the name of the celebrity that supposedly started this....but don't remember who it was. (Something about the celeb not liking the sound of applause...it was unpleasant to his/her ear...??)

The tiny hanger was (I THINK) for a lady to hang her stockings after she hand-laundered them.

you asked: "By the way, does anyone really collect these sewing kits?" Yup! we have several! (and bars of soap, and shoe shine cloths, and shampoo........)
