Howdy,
In my auctions I always state the price for shipping in the US via USPS.
I sold a chip on e-Bay and sent the winner an e-mail stating the price ($9), plus shipping ($1) with the option of insurance ($1).
They had not contacted me prior to this.
They paid me via an online service ($11) and this is when I found out they live in France.
I may just add this one up to a lesson learned and eat the difference, but I would like to get feedback.
Should I go to the post office, which is what I always do with winners from outside the US, and find out how much shipping/insurance is going to cost and then tell the winner that the amount needs to be adjusted? Or as I said, just add it up to a lesson learned and maybe have a repeat customer (happy) in the future?
