Re: Net Access while traveling

Long Distance at 7c a minute and call your home access number, runs $4.20 an hour. If you plan to get in, get mail, and get off, it's not a bad alternative?

I use Prodigy because it has local dial-ups all over the country, however it's close to $20 a month, so unless someone travels alot or gets free Comped. service, (no brainer for me) it doesn't make sense.

I believe Netzero and Juno are the same company now. Don't ask me which one bought the other. (old age) they are free, they do have pop-ups and if you try to block the pop-ups, it knocks you offline.

Get your mail from anywhere, from any service by using http://www.mail2web.com/ where you just go to that address, type in your name and password and you can read your mail. Also it doesn't mark it as read, so when you get home it's still waiting. However if you delete SPAM, it goes away. Another feature, attachments aren't opened, unless you click on them, so if it's some virus, you can just delete it and it's gone.
