I've asked them to secure the package better with their 4" wide clear tape without a problem.

"Flat Rate 12 1/2" x 9 1/2" cardboard envelope holds whatever you can fit in the envelope. You pay the same 2 lbs. rate, no matter what the weight."

This is how the USPS describes their Flat Rate envelopes when you order them on-line!

Perhaps you should fill one with marbles and then refuse their offer of extra tape!

I hate the pin-head mentatlity.
