I tried doing that with my old email address and my spam mail grew exponentially....shortly thereafter I saw a bit on CNN I think that said not to reply with "remove" because it tells the spammers that that is a valid email address AND that you opened and read it.....

I'm glad that "REMOVE" worked for you....but it totally trashed my old email address....by the time I closed that account I was getting the volume that Alex mentioned.
