The way the cancellation of the Silver Strike Tournament was handled is an outrage!! Ms Cole has always been a big supporter of our members and I am sure this was not her decision. But not to offer ANYTHING remotely close to a reason is insulting to me as a regular 15 year Flamingo customer, a PPE stockholder and a member of this Club. I am NOT a SS collector, nor was I playing in this tournament!

There are many people who come to this BB and rant about every little thing they perceive as wrong with this club/hobby. The way OUR members were just treated by a major gaming property is something to get *%@#*# off about! Raise hell about this!

The Flamingo MAY have had a very valid reason why they pulled the plug on this, but not to give the people directly effected by this ANY explanation is inexcusable! We know it wasn't from lack of participation, the thing was sold out. They say they were happy with the group and wanted them back. Now what? I am sure it is internal BS, but that shouldn't be our members' problem and the Flamingo's customers problem.

This Club's Board of Directors should make the Flamingo management and the Park Place Entertainment accutely aware of our organization's disgust with the way this was handled.

How would you feel if Nate announced on Monday the convention has been cancelled and gave no reason?
