Actually, on my most recent trip to Reno (October 2001) I stopped in the Flamingo hoping that since they had dropped the Hilton connection, they would have new chips on the tables. Low and behold what i found was that they had no table games and the casino was scheduled to close in two days!

It amazes me that while I have only been collecting chips for a short time (since 1999), I seem to have a large number of chips I have taken from tables in casinos which are now closed. Part of that has to do with visiting Reno often - and that Reno has had so many casinos close. It seems all the little guys are getting swallowed up by the big gaming corporations. C'est la vie.
