Weird Trip... Weird Chip

Jenny & I went to the Brimfield, MA flea markets yesterday and today. Weird trip! Last May the weather was beautiful. 90 degrees & sunny. I found 100+ chips. This year? Some of the strangest weather I've ever experienced. Strange even for New England. Yesterday several fronts went through the area. Cold enough for a jacket one minute, hot enough for a tee shirt the next. This morning it was raining so hard most of the dealers gave up. We gave up too & came home at noon. What was here to greet me? An inch of SNOW! To top it off I only found THREE chips.

This is a scan of one of the chips. Weird. It's plastic, but very well made. Same diameter & thickness of a "standard" poker chip. The center of the chip is very thin plastic, light purple in color. Each side has four "rings". Looks as if it was turned on a lathe. The plastic rings have striations (spelling?) to imitate ivory. These don't show up well in a scan. Anyone seen anything like this before?

I also found a Chipco advertising chip. "PGI / A New day in Gaming / (800) 759-4263" I must have been sleeping... what is PGI?
