Allan , Yes , you should check again . Hank Boss & Doug Saito are incorrect if they ID'd this chip as coming from El Centro . And -if TR King records
say the chip is from El Centro, then Dennis is looking at the wrong records . I lived in San Jose - I am very familiar with all card room chips from that area . In addition , Larry Eastman , who is a specialist in California chips , ID this chip in 1998 as coming from the Victory Cigar Store & Club in San Jose (34 Market Street ) 1954 to 1975 . This chip is listed on page 183 of Eastman's Chip Guide - all 8 different colors (he listed 1 color twice) .
In your "audit copy" of the GAMING TABLE, move down 2 entries to "V" - Victory Card Club - San Jose (page 328) - this is where the "V" chip in the BB scan is from . Large Crown Mold . I have all 8 colors of the chip . If I can locate them , I will "post a scan" here on Greg's BB .
