I guess I was looking for ethics AMONG chippers without any concern for Ebay guidelines. Maybe not 100% correct - but that's what I had in mind when I asked the questions.

In other words, would you personally be ticked off if you put a chip up on ebay and after it closed one of the bidders, not the winner was contacted by joe blow trying to sell him a chip?
You may have 5 more to sell yourself or none.

I was contacted by the seller right after I lost an auction as the second highest bidder. He offered the piece at a couple dollars less than my high bid. I was very happy and took the offer.
