Re: The Loss of My Mom...NCR
In Response To: The Loss of My Mom...NCR ()

I feel for you both. I lost my mom 3 years ago and still not a day goes by that I dont think of her. The "triggers" are less frequent, and the extreme sorrow I felt each time i thought of her has eased. Not gone...but eased quite a bit. I still feel a very heavy heart if i think of her for more then just a fast passing remark in conversation, like if speaking of things like "this lasagna can't compare to mom's!"

Maybe its different for different people. Maybe it has a different impact on people depending on their relationship. I can only tell you that in my situation, I loved my mother very much. We had a very special bond that I honestly wish all children could experience. I lost a friend and a confidant as well as a very loving mother.

Its hard, very very hard. The pain you feel is very real. But it does ease. What helps me the most is thinking that maybe one day, if im lucky, I will have the opportunity to once again be with her.
