James,

It was the seller who quoted the $1,200 price in his auction.

We have pointed out to him the difference. Remarkably this expert wasn't even aware of your second edition (see how well he keeps up with the hobby). http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1059382445 notice he doesn't just say book value, he says current book value. Also notice that he never revised the auction to reflect the true facts after we pointed the error out to him.

Actually James this leads me to an interesting question. If and when you do another edition of your book (and this question also applies to TCR authors), how if at all will you factor in the prices of chips sold that reflect devaluation due to the boycott on slabbed chips and those that sell them.

I would suspect that many of these chips would have commanded higher prices had they not been sold by Sahara Coins or if Sahara Coins stopped slabbing. I know that several of those chips would have been bid on by me if they stayed at the low prices they sold for.

Perhaps you could add a new value category showing the decreased value of chips sold by slabbers.
