...show me any references written during the production of bone or ivory or mother of pearl gaming markers, and that's what you're really talking about when talking pre-1900, that refer to such markers as being "tokens". Bone chips, Ivory chips and Mother of Pearl chips aren't tokens.

Get a clue coin guys! It's up to you to educate other coin guys, not castigate chip guys for being wrong about their hobby when they aren't!
