Its not the sort of chip that I would add to my collection at that price. And if I can see the damage then it concerns me. You seem to be saying now that you could detect the damage without the magnifier so in actually you didn't need the magnifier.

When I think about chip collectors examing their chips through a magnifier I start to think about coin collecting and the G word and then that leads me to the S word.

But certainly each collector should make their own decisions about what is important to them.
