I posted why names on this BB are important to me in a response to Pete "Cheap Chips" Porro further down the same thread.

It read "I have no problem with someone wanting to be only known as a company or business when they are listing items on eBay. eBay is entirely different from this forum. This forum is the interaction between people. It is not the place for anonymous interjection in the name of making sales. If the people behind the original note that started this thread want to remain known only as a business, I'd suggest they buy a banner advertisement from Greg and let their eBay promotions speak for themselves on eBay."

Let me take that a little further. This BB to me is as much, sometimes more, about people and friendships than casino stuff. I've made lifelong friends here, have probably met at least half of the people who participate in person.

You can get information from books, but it is much more fulfilling to be able to call the author of the book your friend.

Someone can choose to be a faceless business, but if that is the choice, buy an ad. If someone wants to do business with a great group of real people, be a real people themselves. "The Sales Office Staff" doesn't want us to know them. Given that fact, they have their wish, at least as far as I'm concerned. I don't want to know people who act in a forum like this anonymously.
