I am thinking of puting a flagpole in our front yard. I have done some research of what is available and most that I have seen are rather expensive. I was thinking of a couple of sections of PVC to about 15'. The flag would be about 3x5 and maybe a state flag a little smaller, 2x4(?). I would like to know if anyone has experience with this and any recommendations. Would 15' of PVC be sturdy enough. One of the reasons I am thinking this route is that I could put two pieces into each other and a piece in the ground. that way, during the winter etc, I can remove it and store it away if necessary. Thanks for any help.

By the way, the flag on the bottom of this post is a desktop walpaper that is available on HGTV.com. They have a few different ones. I took the 800x600 and downsized it to 400x300.
