Ebay versus the Club Auction

I was thinking about the recent auctions of high end chips on Ebay...the $6,000 Four Queens arodie and the $15,000 Hacienda. Certainly this means that Ebay is a valid distribution channel for premium chips. This got me thinking about the auction at our annual Club convention. It's interesting to compare the two. How much overlap in buyers and sellers and how many participate in one but not the other? One obvious difference is that Ebay's fees are trivial next to the 20% that the Club auction charges. The Convention auction is also a major source of revenue for the Club (more than $10,000 per year). Is there a danger that EBay (Jackpot, etc.) will siphon premium chips from the Club auction? Just wondering.

Archie, you've been a little too curt, lately.
