Not sure what you are referring to with the CK thread but the one that I recall and responded to, about Rizzo, was not a criticism of his posting a notice on the board. It was about concern of how quick he was to call Nevadadeals and Jackpot a bunch of crooks or something like that.

I just went back to check it out and there is a difference in that Crystal and Nevadadeals, at least with the Gunfighters Gambling Emporium $5 Chip-Jesse James chip didn't specifically represent it as being from a real establishment. It was criticized that by not specifically stating that it was a fantasy chip that was fraudulant. Crystal didn't represent it as being anything either way. On the other hand I understand there was another questionable chip where she specified the mold as being something other than what it was. Some say it was ignorance and someone should have corrected her. Others might assume that these issues combined indicate she was deliberately misreprsenting these chips as something they weren't. That I will admit is a more serious error in that you should not declare something to be if you don't know for a fact that it is. I would like to add that while serious it is different than declaring somthing to be something that YOU KNOW it is not. If Crystal wasn't sure of the identity of the mold she should not have presented it. That is the primary difference. One where you don't present information and therefore don't make an assertion and the other where you say something that is factually wrong. The ad that we are talking about now is one where Definately there is an issue of misrepresentation. Civility would just prescribe that enough benefit be afforded to the seller to correct or explain him/herself.

Again, there is nothing wrong with pointing out errors publicly and everyone who notices an error should notify others of these bad auctions. It is just that, Out of the Gate, perhaps we should not be so quick to call people crooks, or declare "Fraud" or call a person a "Liar" or state that someone, himself, deliberately altered a chip. I will not pretend to be naieve but, just for the sake of discussion, we do not know for a fact that this person is not just re-presenting this chip in the same way it was presented to him. He may be in error but can we say for fact that his intent was fraudulant and deliberate? I have never sold anything on eBay but if I were and made some innocent and honest mistake or error I would hope people would contact me and allow me to make a correction. It makes me a little concerned that I could get a something at a garage sale or house sale and resell it using information that I was told by the seller and I would get nailed as a crook or a liar for making the mistake of believing that someone else was telling me the truth.
