Well Andy, speaking of pool. I have another story for you.

Several years ago, Merle Haggard came to Sam's Town to do a show. He got there three days before the show date. He was just walking by my dead crap table and I said, "Hey Merle, come shoot these dice." He told me he got in some trouble gambling years ago and does not do it anymore. I asked him what he was doing there so early. He said his last show was in Kentucky and he lived in California. He does not fly on planes, so he did not have time to go home. He wanted to know where he could shoot some pool. I told him he had to go to Memphis. We have a bartender that is a big pool player. After introducing them, he took Merle to play pool as soon as he got off work. Merle stayed at this guys house for four days! The bartender was having the time of his life. All because of pool and a fear of flying. Go figure.
