Re: Legal Question
In Response To: Re: Legal Question ()

This is not a legal opinion but common sense would tell me that, as has sort of been said, the club might not have any power to effect or influence the way in which the show is conducted. However as a member of the club, the organizer, if a member, has probably agreed to certain codes of conduct in applying for membership. Therefore, the club could enact penatlies on the member for poor behavior or violating those codes of conduct. As for what remedies the club would have, you might have to refer to the constitution and bylaws of the club to find that out. Could it be a fine to the club or restitution to those who were harmed. Revocation of membership? Maybe that the club will not participate in or help to promote such shows in the future. While it might not be so important to some dealers and show promoters, The CC & GTCC numbers that are put next to peoples names are valuable and do sometimes add credability to that individual. Maybe the potential loss of that connection to the club would get some peoples attention.
