Re: Legal Question
In Response To: Legal Question ()

Well, in my Canadianized legal opinion, the Club has very little if any right over the issue. Being a democratically run country, the fact that we, as a club, have the same interests as another individual or group has very little bearing on anything, hence the wonder of Capitalism and supply and demand. If the other function is held by a member of our group, then certainly the club has the right to remove him from the membership should they chose. TO draw an example, the fact that Kentucky Fried Chicken sold Fried Chicken first doesn't give them the legal right to act against Joe's Fried Chicken Stand that opens up down the street unless it is found that Joe is either stealing copyrights or trademarks of KFC. Maybe those 2 years of law school did actually amount to something after all!! (HEE-HEE)
