A couple of years ago when I went with the SU FB team to the Memphis bowl game, after practice I got a rental car and intended to spend the afternoon at some antique places I had scouted out. Picked up the car and the agent pointed me to the Interstate and gave me directions--I wanted to go north. After 20 minutes or so, I saw signs that announced FIREWORKS for sale and I knew I was not in Memphis; then came signs for Casinos and I knew that my guardian angel was driving; sure enough I was on RTE 61 headed south to Tunica. It was great; won $175 in poker; had a huge free sandwich served at the table and even won a little on the video poker games. Afterwards, however, in a blinding rainstorm I missed my turn to the Interstate that would take me to my hotel and wound up in the deepest part of Memphis only to discover I had no gas...but that's a different story. Except, the car rental agency didn't put gas in the car; I don't know if that was a one time thing or standard practice in Memphis.
