I hear where you are coming from. I too get a bit overwhelmed with the traffic that is caused by these issues when they are posted. However, as difficult as it may be to weed through them if you relegated all these topics to a special page than other interested parties might not be able to adequetly read the viewpoints. The only people who whould go to the "Battle Ground" or "Fight Forum" are the hard core folks who have already formulated opinions on the subjects. The ability to educate and inform new chippers or the lesser informed brethren would be squelched. Note that I say squelched not silenced. I would have a suspicion that even if you attempted to direct these people to another page they probably would still post a lot of their topics here. I have learned a great deal by scrolling this page and looking for A.) Topics that interest me and B.) Posts that have such long threads that I figure there must be something important there. I venture in and start reading. Sometimes the fights lead to valuable information that helps understand the importance and complexity of an issue. Other times I will admit they are amusing in that it is embarassing that some will resort to such rediculous attacks or that the subject of the attack will have a feable excuse for some words or deeds that were committed. You learn a lot about issues and individuals when you start to read them. Then often get to a point where the subject had been beaten like a dead horse and I just scroll past.
