More food for thought -- boycott ...

... of chip shows that are not slabfree:

Well, I guess my first post on this wasn't the most popular I ever made, was it??

However, I must say that any such boycott would be entirely consistent with the Pledge I made (which became "The List") not to patronize those who promote or support slabbing.

I have reached a decision regarding all shows other than the club's annual convention. I will NOT attend any show which permits the sale of slabbed casino memorabilia or which permits any slabbing company to have a table.

I am struggling with my conscience regarding the convention. I see it as inconsistent (if not hypocritical) to boycott other shows which permit slabs and not do the same for our convention. On the other hand, I'm not sure it's a good idea to abandon the battlefield at the most crucial time and place.

I will give it more thought. ----- jim o\-S
