Let me know if either of you find a 1965-D quarter. The Denver mint made lots of quarters in 1965 but they did not have a mint mark on them. This was part of an effort by the mint to punish us coin collectors for causing the shortage of coins in circulation in the mid 1960s. The mint mark was not put back on the quarter until 1968.
