Re: Harrah's sues Station over Slot Cards

I can tell you this, Harrah's will only have that patent for about 10 to 15 years including one renewal, My father works for a pharmacutical company here in New Jersey and one of the patents on their one nasal product is about to expire and they cannot renew it, They only had one renewal and now they are trying to get an extension, If the company fails to get the extension the door will open for other pharmacutical companies to make generic version of the same product, So for Harrah*s to get in injuction doesn't make sense because it's only a matter of time before their patent expires and every casino from Las Vegas to Atlantic City will be copying them and there is not a damn thing Harrah*s can do.

Now a Patent should not be confused with a trademark, Trademarks can be renewed to infinity where as Patents are limited then once they expire anybody can use the same forumla or idea without fear of infrigement.
