Picture of Silver Strike Slot Machine.
In Response To: Idiotic question vbg ()

Kevin,

Pictured is a Silver Strike slot machine at McCarran Airport. Behind it is a bank of regular slot machines with a player at one of them. You can look closely at the pictured machine and see several Strikes on display above the reels and below the multi-colored "$1,000" sign.

As said before, this machine plays on quarters. The bars are also labled "COIN" and by lining them up (3-single bars, or 3-double bars, or 3-triple bars) will pay out Silver Strikes of 1, 2 and 3 respectively. A single cherry will pay 2 quarters and lining up disimilar bars will give 5 or 6 quarters (I can't remember which one). The Machine has three pay lines and maximum coins must be played to win the Jackpot ($1,000.00) by getting three 7's.

If an when you ever play one of these machines, be sure to stick your hand under the pay out chute, or put something soft in the pay out tray, because when the Silver Strike drops, it very easily breaks its plastic air-tite.

I hope this helps.
