Frontier $5 mystery chip

In checking some chips in my collection to see what I should be looking for at the convention, I came across this Frontier $5 chip not listed in the books. It is red with 3 GRAY inserts & metal coin inlay. BJ diecard incused mold.

The books list a $5 red with 3 GREEN chip, but these inserts are definitely gray, not green.

Got it in 1991, but didn't record where (probably a chip show).

Possibilities -- (a) an error chip; (b) an undiscovered variety; (c)an altered chip, in which someone glued 2 of the loose Frontier metal coin inlays that are out there onto another chip.

I'm leaning toward (c) because the coin on one side is very slightly raised higher than the surrounding plastic. Also, the 2 coins are coin-aligned with each other and are mounted such that an insert is centered at 12 o'clock (this side) and at 6 o'clock (reverse side).

I haven't yet tried to cross-reference all the BJ-incused diecard mold chips to find one that's red with 3-gray inserts. Does anyone have a sortable database (or a good memory) that could find such a chip?

BTW, I can bring the chip to the convention if anyone wants to examine it in person.
