Does WP work to create a new document? This could tell you if its the file or the application.

Not sure how big the file is, but try e:mailing it (as an attachment) to someone who has the same application. See if they have the same error message. If so, then your file is likely corrupted. If they can open it, then there is a problem with the application. Have you tried Corel support?

Also try e:mailimh the file to someone with MS/Word to see if can be imported or converted. At least your data can then be saved. Who ever you send it to can SAVE AS a tab or comma delineated file, send back to you and then import into WP as a new document.

I support Jill (and other's) statements. You need a database program. MS/Access is excellent. Filemaker Pro is also excellent (works on both PCs and MACs), MS/FoxPro is excellent but complex and works on PCs, MACs and UNIX systems.

MS/Excel sucks, thats a technical term for poor choice, and MS/Word can only do the job in a Table mode which is insufferable unless you have the latest supercomputer with 2000GHz speeds.

If you want to keep things at a no brainer level, then go with the off-the-shelf, pre-designed collectibles software being offered to us chippers. Although I have not used it, I have seen several versions and for the cost, they are just fine.

I use FileMaker Pro, which is rivaled by Access. Access however will not run on my MAC.
