The year that the first of the WSOP $2.50 chips came out we were holding the CC>CC show at the Aladdin. That was only the second time I met Gene. I wanted a set but had to return to Syracuse the day they were first being sold. I told Gene and Arlene how badly I wanted the set. A month later one came to me in the mail--from Gene. No price set. I sent him a check. I'm sure it wasn't at the then going price. But that was Gene. We'll miss him; we so very much missed Arlene.
