Just had to share these photos. I came home the other afternoon and my 8 year old son came to me and ask me if Mom had told me about "the arrow". She hadn't, so I told him to explain. He took me out front and pointed up to the roof where I could plainly see an arrow stuck firmly into the wooden shingles.

Robert has had this nice little compound bow and some arrows for a couple years now. We had many, many talks about safety and he was WELL aware that he wasn't supposed to ever get them out without my being present. It seems that this time there was no way he could get away without being caught.

Although I wanted to laugh at the situation, I didn't in front of him. We had a long talk where he SWORE that he was pointing the arrows at the ground and that the wind came along and swept this arrow up and stuck it in the roof.

One of the coolest things about being a dad is realizing how much crap your own dad had to put up with when you were a kid.
