With all due respect, I think Paul's assessment of the reason is much closer than yours. Games have been starting at 8:00 for quite some time now and I believe the comparison was with all the WS games, inlcuding those which started at the same time.

YES, my midwest team was not there and I was disappointed, but I was happy it didn't drag out any longer because I couldn't stand the media hype B.S. any longer.
