Kinda wondering myself. The $5 chip features the "Dead Man's Hand", aces and eights, the poker hand that Wild Bill Hickock was holding when he was gunned down.

I'd imagine, due to dealer complaints that the stackable edge design was retired this year. As desirable as this feature is, it's too hard to look at a stack of chips on the felt and count the denominations without spreading the stack. Dick's designs appear to be uniform for edge colors.
